Based on the event schedule for the Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 test server and official announcements, the story for version 2.6 has been confirmed to revolve around Angels of Delusion, while version 2.7 will serve as a bridge between stories and introduce one of the characters from AOD.

Current information indicates that all of them will be S-Rank characters.

The Zenless Zone Zero version 2.7 will begin on March 25, 2026, and end on May 6, 2026, lasting a total of 42 days.

| ZZZ Angels Of Delusion Overview

AOD is a three-member virtual idol girl group, consisting of Chinatsu, Ruudoku, and Aria. In the latest PV, Ruudoku's full name was revealed as Nangong Yu, and this name has also been mentioned in tweets from AOD's official account.

The first character we encounter in the game is Chinatsu, whose codename has been confirmed as Summer. Chinatsu is a typical Japanese name. In anime-style naming, Chinatsu (千夏/ちなつ) symbolizes youth and lasting memories. Natsu ("summer") conveys warmth, vitality, and emotional intensity, while chi ("a thousand") suggests countless moments and encounters. The name is often used for bright, emotionally expressive characters meant to leave a strong impression—like a summer you never forget.

The AOD account also posts from Chinatsu's perspective, so from the promotional resources, she is likely the main character for Zenless Zone Zero version 2.6, and Hoyoverse will dedicate the majority of the story content to her narrative.

Therefore, the 2.6 banner has basically been confirmed to feature Chinatsu. Since Nangong Yu's name was also mentioned early, it's likely that Yu will be the other featured character in the 2.6 banner.

From a character design and banner planning perspective, Aria clearly fits mainstream aesthetics better and has received more artistic resources. Thus, she is unlikely to appear in the lower half of the 2.6 banner; instead, she will probably appear in the upper half of the 2.7 banner, helping to generate additional revenue.

Aria (formerly known as Yutane Johiel / Tougou Rin / KM221) is a 16-year-old female robot and the lead vocalist and face of the idol group Certain Doom. Standing at 158 cm, she embodies two contrasting personas: in her real form, she is shy, introverted, timid, and has low self-esteem; as an idol, she becomes bright, energetic, and a top performer in singing (though her dancing skills are poor).

Aria, like other intelligent robots such as Billy and Bange, uses advanced technologies such as 3D projection to perform in a human-like idol form. This suggests she likely has two forms—a robotic body and a human/idol projection, which naturally requires more art and design resources.

Her surname, Johiel (Jophiel), carries deep symbolism, representing divine beauty, wisdom, healing, and guidance. The name connects her character to themes of enlightenment and artistry, fitting her role as a rejuvenating and inspiring presence in the group.

In the Zenless Zone Zero 2.6 Angels of Delusion storyline, she is expected to appear alongside Chinatsu and Rokudou, making her one of the central characters of the banner. This duality of forms and her past identity as Yutane make Arica a unique and compelling character in both gameplay and lore.

| ZZZ 2.7 Unknown Character Prediction

As the only character who appeared in the Season 2 prologue PV of Zenless Zone Zero without being killed off or added to a banner, Damian has a high probability of appearing in version 2.7. From the PV, it seems he will have more interactions with Zhao. Judging by their personalities and the story, Damian might be a pawn planted by Zhao within TOPS, who goes through a crisis, grows from the experience, and eventually gains Zhao’s approval to join the KCA.

Damian is a corporate-affiliated NPC in Zenless Zone Zero. He is calculating and profit-driven, yet more pragmatic than outright villainous, fitting the role of a morally gray character. Throughout the story, he may oppose the protagonists or temporarily cooperate with them when it aligns with his interests and risk assessment.

I guess you're all waiting for her, right?

If this name doesn't ring a bell, she is an NPC serving as the hostess at Yum Cha Sin in Failume Heights.

I know many in the community are fascinated by her and are eager for her to be added to a banner.

However, I have to pour some cold water on that—Hoyoverse generally finalizes each version's content direction and new character banner arrangements well before the update launches, so I don't think there's any room for her to appear, at least not in version 2.7.

>Unknown Singer

Since the story will revolve around virtual idols and related elements, it's possible that other singers in Zenless Zone Zero might be introduced as well.

Outside the Music Store on Sixth Street, there are many albums displayed. Perhaps one of the performers featured there could be a new character for versions 2.7 or 2.8.

Of course, this is just speculation, and personally, I think the likelihood is low.

In summary, the unknown character for version 2.7 could be Damian, Sweety, or an unknown singer. From a rational perspective, Damian seems the most likely.

Therefore, we can tentatively consider Damian as a 2.7 version character.
