Zhao is an Ice Defense Agent from the Krampus Compliance Authority, capable of providing teammates with various basic stat boosts and damage increases, while also restoring additional HP every second.

The equipper’s Energy Regen increases by 0.26 per second; all team members gain 10% ATK and 10% HP Limit. This effect is unique for the team. When the equipper uses an [EX Special Attack] or activates [Ether Veil], all team members gain 40% CRIT DMG for 35 seconds; repeated triggers extend the duration.

>Ether Battery Synthesis Function
- 60 Backup Battery Charge + 1 Prepaid Power Card can be exchanged for 1 Ether Battery.
- Batteries can now be used to sweep (auto-clear) Regular Purge (Drive Disk stages).
- Before farming, you can set Auto-Dismantle for Drive Dis ks to automatically dismantle those of rarity A and below, or B and below.
>New UI System
Zenless Zone Zero will introduce a new UI in Version 2.5. By opening the side panel, you can quickly teleport or access various features. You can also change the wallpaper and charms for this side panel—similar to how it works in Honkai: Star Rail.
>Old Charaters Buffs
In ZZZ 2.5.0 beta, five existing Agents receive buffs, and a new Potential System is introduced, unlocking additional abilities and stat bonuses. A new co-op mode also lets players team up to clear certain stages and earn buffs.
Five Agents receive upgrades:
- Soldier 11 & Grace get major kit/mechanic additions.
- Ellen & Soldier 0 – Anby receive moderate stat-based buffs.
- Burnice details are still unknown.
Potentials can be purchased with Awakening Currency from weekly and challenge content. The system's first stage adds new mechanics, while later stages mostly improve stats.

>New Co-Op Mode
ZZZ 2.5 introduces a full Co-Op Mode with role-based matchmaking (DPS / Break / Support) for various PvE activities, including Annihilation, Timed Challenges, and Final Battles. Players gain temporary buffs through Co-Op–exclusive gear, while select Agents like Astra, Lucia, and Lighter receive dedicated Co-Op reworks. Version 2.5 also adds Pursenas Hollow, featuring four new Co-Op maps.

Version 2.5 adds a new Social System centered on the Proxy Intelligence Hub and Intel Board, allowing players to join stations, take Co-Op commissions, earn rewards, and unlock ranks, titles, and shared progression features—further enhancing team-based gameplay.

>New Shiyu Defense Rules
The Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 Beta brings a major rework to Shiyu Defense, focusing primarily on Stage 5, with changes to structure, scoring, and rewards.
- Stages 1–4 remain unchanged: two routes per stage, S rank for clearing within 5 minutes.
- Stage 5 is now a three-room, point-based mode. Each room lasts 5 minutes and has a 60,000-point cap.
- Points are earned through damage dealt and enemies defeated, with early damage boosted by strong time-based multipliers.
Ranking Rules
- 25,000 points in a single room = S rank
- S in all three rooms = overall S
- 90,000 total points = S+
Rewards
- Stages 1–4: Polychrome
- Stage 5: Polychrome or Awakening Currency, based on rank

>404 livehouse Event
In "Muse's Musings -4/6", the Proxy needs to help Angels of Delusion members find musical inspiration.
The Proxy needs to set out with the little idols of Angels of Delusion. During gameplay, they will discover interesting content, listen to inspiration fragments created by the Proxy, and take photos for this music as accompanying images.
After finding inspiration and completing the photography, the little idols will complete the inspiration into finished music. After that, they need to return to 404 LiveHouse to post the musical work with photos and share it with everyone.
After completing the post, you can listen to the full version of the music on the posting interface, view fans' reviews, and gain more fans.
>Antique Shop
This appears to be an entirely new exploration gameplay feature. You’ll need to collect various items and complete a series of tasks to increase your Exploration Level and earn rewards.
