The zzz livestream is on 23 August, 2025, and ZZZ 2.1 will end on September 4. So the zzz 2.2 will release on September 4.

▍ZZZ 2.2 Characters
Orphie & Magus
Rarity: S, Weapon: Attack, Attribute: Fire
Orphie is a Fire Attribute Attack agent, and just as expected, she turns out to be the final core piece of the Follow-up Attack (FUA) team.
From Orphie’s kit, we can see that she specializes in off-field damage output, with her entire playstyle revolving around [Aftershock]. Her Additional Ability significantly boosts Aftershock DMG and even converts most of her attacks into Aftershock triggers—this is a huge upgrade for FUA team performance.
When paired with Soldier 0 Anby, the synergy becomes clear:
- Anby acts as the on-field DPS while also granting Aftershock CRIT DMG bonus.
- Orphie focuses on off-field Aftershock damage with her additional boost.
Together, they perfectly complement each other’s strengths. In comparison, Trigger primarily provides off-field Stun support but doesn’t feel strictly necessary in this setup.
However, keep in mind: both Anby and Orphie’s Additional Abilities require a Stuner in the team, which makes these three agents (Orphie, Anby, Trigger) the natural core members of the FUA lineup.
Seed
Rarity: S, Weapon: Attack, Attribute: Electric
According to Swinging leaks, Seed is a S-Rank Electric Attack agent who will debut in the first half of ZZZ 2.2.
As a member of the Obol Squad, Seed is made up of two parts: the blue-haired girl and her mech. Much like Soldier 11, “Seed” is a codename within Obol rather than her real name.
Seed Gameplay
As Obol’s artillery specialist, Seed excels at heavy firepower through her mech-mounted cannon attacks. Her Ultimate introduces a brand-new gameplay perspective: a first-person firing mode, allowing players to directly aim and unleash a barrage of shots. This unique mechanic sets her apart from every other agent currently in ZZZ.
Kit Overview
Seed’s kit revolves around sustained heavy damage, but it comes with some design issues in its current state:
Only Mech Strike qualifies as a true Aftershock attack.
Her other moves, including Mech Heavy Strike and even her Ultimate, do not count as Aftershocks despite functioning like them.
This forces her into awkward team-building, as she requires an off-field Attack Aftershock unit (with Orphie being the obvious choice) but cannot fully benefit from their synergy.
Potential Adjustments
For better mechanical cohesion, it’s expected that Mech Heavy Strike and her Ultimate may be reclassified as Aftershocks in later updates. This adjustment would:
Properly align her with the intended dual-Attack team compositions.
Unlock stronger synergy with Orphie and other Aftershock-focused agents.
Give players a smoother gameplay loop without mismatched mechanics.

Dawn's Bloom
2-pc: Increases Basic Attack DMG by 15%.
4-pc: Increases [Basic Attack] DMG by 20%. When equipped by an [Attack-type character], using [EX Special Attack] or [Ultimate] will further increase [Basic Attack] DMG by 25% for 25 seconds; repeated triggers reset the duration.
This new drive disc is truly made for Seed for its effect, which all about the Basic Attack DMG boosts.
Moonlight Lullaby
2-pc: Energy Regen +20%
4-pc: When equipper is a Support character and uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate, increases DMG dealt by all squad members by 20% for 20s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
▍ZZZ 2.2 New Skins
According to the leaks from Mero, ZZZ 2.2 will feature new skins. Looking back at the cosmetic releases in Versions 2.0 and 2.1, all the skins so far have been given to the banner-featured agents of their respective patches.
With that pattern in mind, there’s a strong chance that the Version 2.2 skins will be tied to the two upcoming headline agents.
