Greetings, Lords! With the release of Whiteout Survival's latest August redemption codes, many new players have joined the game, while some veterans have also returned to claim this wave of benefits. Today, we bring you an advanced Whiteout Survival guide, covering one of the game's most important activities: FrostFire Mine. Whether you're a new or returning player, your game experience will level up after reading this guide!
▍About Combat Power
Besides upgrading buildings, researching technologies, and upgrading heroes' stars, equipment, and skills, the most direct way to increase combat power is mass troop production! Only recommend producing Level 8+ troops. Whales are the exception, as regular players don't have many speed-up items either.
▍Building Issues
Some buildings have priority. Here, we only mention the Commander’s Orders. One order is "Construction Speedup", requiring 800K Satisfaction (generated automatically when Survivors work), refreshing every 24 hours. This order reduces building construction/upgrade time by 20% within 5 minutes. Remember to activate this order before starting construction or upgrading a building. Activating it afterwards has no effect and wastes 800K Satisfaction.
▍Hero Issues
Heroes are ranked from high to low: Orange (SSR), Purple (SR), Blue (R). Orange heroes are undoubtedly the best in the game; intuitively, they have 2 more skills. However, other heroes also have roles. For example, the four production-type Blue heroes have skills that provide resource Gather bonuses, which are irreplaceable.
Other heroes' skills may boost attack, enhance defense, or reduce damage taken. Players need to examine these heroes' skills themselves. For instance, if you are attacking another player, choosing a team with heroes that have attack bonuses is better. If defending your city, heroes with damage reduction and defense bonuses are more advantageous.
Some Orange heroes require spending to obtain. Unless these heroes are high-star, it's suggested to get one to try out if the situation allows, but not necessarily max them out. Whales are the exception.

▍Hero Equipment
Besides purchasing packs or event rewards, the main source of hero equipment is Exploration. After clearing Exploration stage 200, players are rewarded with equipment, mainly Green, White, and Blue. Orange equipment can be purchased in the Arena Store. Players can save Arena points; roughly one piece of Orange equipment can be exchanged per week, which is decent.
After reaching City Hall level 22, players unlock Lord Equipment, six pieces in total, which provide significant attack and defense bonuses to all three troop types. This bonus is substantial. Lord Equipment unlocks automatically but requires Hardened Alloys and Polishing Fluid to acquire and upgrade (besides purchasing with money, these materials can be obtained from Crazy Joey, Armory Clash, and some events).
At level 25, Lord Equipment Gems unlock, also providing attack and defense bonuses to all three troop types. Material acquisition is the same as above.
▍Resource Issues
The main ways to obtain resources in the game are Gathering and production from city buildings – the most basic methods. Resources can also be obtained by plundering other players' forts (not recommended. Not because of potential disputes, but consider how you'd feel if your resources were stolen. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Everyone is here to play; leave some leeway for a friendly game environment. Alliance wars are the exception; it's about the situation, not the person).
Resources can also be obtained through various event rewards, defeating wild monsters, and other methods.
▍FAQs about Whitout Survival Frostfire Mine
What is FrostFire Mine?
The Frostfire Mine event, unlocked at Furnace level 16, involves collecting Orichalcum, a rare metal, by capturing mining veins. Players earn rewards through Frostfire XP and participate in 30-minute battles.
How Often is Frostfire Mine?
Frostfire Mine is a solo event that is available every two weeks. You can register and participate in the event on the same day. There are 6 time slots that can be registered, and all players ≥Lv. 16 Furnace are eligible.
How to win Frostfire Mine?
It is one of the most important activities in the game. The strategy to conquer it is as follows:
· Before the event starts, ensure no troops are dispatched. Time your entry carefully.
· The number of teams you can send into the battlefield matches your usual capacity, but soldiers are automatically allocated based on your highest troop level and building level, unrelated to your current troop count.
· If a team fails an attack or is defeated in defense, it will have a 5-minute cooldown before reviving. Troop numbers are not lost.
· If you have spare teams, you can also send hero-less teams to fight small monsters.
· Use Scouting frequently to check opponent strength and to collect scattered ore.
· For skill point allocation, it is recommended to choose Right, Right, Left, Left, Right from top to bottom.
· If you miss the entry time, you can skip this session and wait to register for a later one.
· In the first few minutes, assign most teams to fight small monsters, leaving only one team to mine ore (do not collect the mined ore yet). Keep fighting monsters and collect the dropped Steel. After collecting, continue splitting: one team mines ore (don't collect), others fight monsters.
· If there's no ore nearby, move towards the center to areas with lighter green (fewer players, more ore). Continue the previous mode.
· After no more dropped Steel is nearby, assign three teams to Gather (collect the mined ore), and the rest to fight monsters.
· Before the Explosive Mines appear, recall troops to fight the Explosive Mines. At this point, the skill point allocation order is Right, Right, Left, Left, Right. Observe the levels of nearby players. If you feel capable of contesting the center mines, switch the skill point allocation to Right, Right, Left, Left, Left to seize the center mines.
· If troop levels feel relatively low, continue the previous mode (mining and collecting).
▍Conclusion
Early Stage: Fight monsters (keep fighting when maxed).
Mid Stage: Contest Explosive Mines.
Late Stage: Gather (remember to use the 5th skill, the right-side one, for Gathering).
