IDV Herztier Background Story

Emil’s tragedy began when Ada entered the manor and first acquired the Delphi extract. The Delphi research team had already split up. Except Sam Bourbon, all researchers thought Delphi could heal all mental trauma.

Ada counted on the serum to erase Emil’s agonizing memories and trauma. But the human test went terribly wrong. The drug erased Emil’s fear and pain, creating an emotional void in his brain.

Dark impulses filled his empty consciousness. Without fear, Emil gradually lost reason. Driven only by wild instincts, he turned into the monster Herztier roaming the manor’s fog.

IDV Herztier Appearance Design

Human Form

112_resized.jpg

Human Form keeps Patient’s main classic features. Visible surgical scars and experimental gear cover his body. His original hand ring now hangs on his neck, and official art shows no handheld weapons. Like the Nightmare, Herztier fights with sharp claws on both hands.

Human Form focuses on scouting. Perception Overload lets him sense roughly where all Survivors are. Many players compare this to the Hunter’s Listen skill; Survivors can conceal themselves by staying quiet and motionless.

Beast Form

Beast Form undergoes heavy physical mutation. His clothes stay mostly the same, yet he looks almost like a wild beast. He gains dog-like facial traits, greatly enlarged arm muscles and a thick beast tail.

This form is designed entirely for pursuit and combat with diverse attack choices. Players need to switch between basic attacks and skills flexibly based on chasing situations to pull off different combos.

IDV Herztier Skill Leaks

External Trait: Hunting Mark

未命名_resized (1).jpg

Each consecutive hit landed by basic attacks or skills accumulates Hunting Mark stacks on Survivors. Targets marked receive amplified damage from subsequent strikes. Gamers speculate the damage calculation resembles Bonbon’s burst damage.

Herztier may skip normal attack recovery cooldowns entirely, or only trigger attack wipe animation after high-damage bursts. Official follow-up preview materials are needed for confirmation of hit cooldown rules.

Mechanic for Beast Form: Basic Attack & Pounce

Beast Form owns two exclusive special basic attack animations. The Pounce mobility skill can be cast twice in a row, enabling angled dashing to adjust pursuit routes and close distance rapidly.

This character’s abilities could be played in the following ways:

  1. Use Human Form to patrol and scout Survivor positions with Perception Overload;
  2. Switch into Beast Form once targets are located;
  3. Chain double Pounce displacement, two-style basic attacks and Trail Seeking for continuous chasing;
  4. Stack Hunting Mark with successive hits to deal amplified burst damage and down Survivors efficiently.

Conclusion

Herztier’s combat relies on smooth form switching, skill combo linkage and damage mark stacking. With unique dual-form mechanics and flexible offensive methods, he brings a fast-paced tactical chase experience to Identity V’s fog battles.
