▍Core Mechanics of the Phainon Team
Things that you should know before you play the Phainon Team.
The reflect multiplier from Chassis of Retribution can stack, and this effect is not subject to diminishing returns on Phainon. The second Chassis provides a full 100% increase, and the third adds another 50%. Because of this, none of the three Chassis pieces can be replaced—they are all mandatory for maximizing reflect damage.
In addition, your off-line supports must be properly equipped:
Your shield support should carry at least one Anti-Grav Boots to boost overall team speed and shield cycling.
Your Harmony support should equip one Perpetual Engine to ensure smooth energy generation and frequent Ultimate usage.
These items are crucial for sustaining the reflect engine and keeping Phainon's damage output at full power.

▍Full Game Route
> Early-Game Lineup (Lv. 5)
In the early game, run five units to activate the 2 DoT + 2 Belobog + 2 Genius Society, and 2 Debuff.
First, use the DoT synergy for its high and stable damage to smoothly transition through the early stages. With the help of the 2-Genius Society bond, try to secure as many rewards as possible. This ensures that before reaching the Stage 1 boss, you'll have safe HP levels and a healthy amount of gold saved up to generate interest.
> Mid-Game Lineup (Lv.7)
In Stage 2-1, immediately level up to Level 7 to roll for Phainon and add him to your team, while also picking up the necessary synergy cards. After this point, stop buying EXP entirely—keep your gold at interest thresholds and maintain your economy until your Phainon reaches 3-star. Only then should you continue investing further.
Once you’ve finished crafting all three Chassis of Retribution for Phainon, you can begin synthesizing the appropriate equipment for your support characters — such as the Anti-Grav Boots and Perpetual Engine mentioned earlier. These items help stabilize the team's action flow, improve shield uptime, and ensure Phainon's reflect damage engine runs at full efficiency.
> Late-Game Lineup (Lv.8)
After upgrading Phainon to 3-star, you can start leveling up again and searching for supporting characters to enhance his performance. Good options include Cyrene, Yunli, and other units that provide shields, action manipulation, or additional utility. These supports help maximize Phainon's reflect damage and ensure the team operates smoothly in higher-difficulty stages.
▍Important Things to Note
- This team has very high equipment requirements.You need three Chassis of Retribution, which means 3 Batch Produced Armor and 3 Lucky Star materials.If you fail to assemble the reflect gear, the team simply cannot function.Therefore, it's highly recommended to prioritize Investment Environments that provide equipment.
- If you encounter the wrong boss at the start, restart immediately.Both Automaton Beetle and Dreamjolt Troupe's Mr. Domescreen are extremely unfavorable matchups and heavily counter this composition.
- The Shield Bond only needs to reach 2 stacks.The difference between the 2-piece and 4-piece effect is minimal.It's much better to use the extra slots for supportive characters who raise the team's overall ceiling rather than forcing a 4-piece shield setup.
