Arknights: Endfield 1.4 Leak Source

Where are these 1.4 hype trains coming from? Don’t worry, they aren’t just wild guesses. The community basically put on their detective hats after tracking three major receipts dropped by Hypergryph:

  • The 1.3 Dev Stream: The devs explicitly teased that the Endministrator would team up with a new face to tackle the Wuling Rift, while showing a sneaky idol-style silhouette.

  • The IGN 2026 PV Leak: An accidental trailer leak gave us a first look at the upcoming Northern-region storyline, putting Li Zhiyan dead center in the hype.

  • The "Back to the North" Official Trailer: This final promo tied everything together, matching the leaked footage perfectly and leaving the community 99% sure that Li Zhiyan and the Mecha Idol are our definitive 1.4 banner duo.

Li Zhiyan (Codename: Arcane)

Since she’s already a known face in the main story, Li Zhiyan has way more credibility than a random concept art leak. Unsurprisingly, she’s currently sitting right at the top of everyone's 1.4 pull list.

Who is She? (Lore & Story )

Li Zhiyan belongs to the Yinglung Special Task Force and has clear story ties with our favorite Operator, Chen Qianyu. As a key player in the Wuling arc, she’s calm, composed, and ruthlessly efficient—basically radiating big military boss energy. With Version 1.4 pushing the Wuling Rift storyline straight into the freezing North, her background fits the upcoming vibe perfectly.

Weapon : Is She Melee or Ranged?

When her segment in the trailer first dropped, she was surrounded by floating modules that looked exactly like laser cannons. We all thought, "Oh cool, a ranged laser DPS." But then—plot twist—she literally chucks the giant laser cannon straight at the enemy's face. (Honestly, it gives major Rosmontis vibes from Arknights lol).

However, if you slow down the trailer frame-by-frame, you can see her holding a one-handed sword right before yeeting the cannon. Because of this, she’s most likely a sword-wielder, meaning those floating laser cannons are probably tied to her Skill or Ultimate kit.

Kit & Meta Speculation

Her actual Element and Archetype are still under wraps, but the community is already cooking up some solid theories:

  • The Main DPS: Despite wielding a sword, she could easily be a hybrid/burst DPS who utilizes her Skills/Ultimate to deal sustained or burst ranged damage.

  • The Next Big Nature Element Carry: A close-up shot in the trailer highlights a glowing green bracelet on her wrist. Since Endfield currently lacks a cracked, top-tier Nature Element Main DPS, Li Zhiyan is a prime candidate to fill that exact meta slot.

The Mystery Mecha Idol

Information on the second rumored character is scarce outside of the PV frames, so the community has dubbed her the "Idol Character" for now. Thanks to her high-contrast, adorable-yet-badass design, she has quickly become a community favorite.

Model: The Cutie in Heavy Armor

She completely shatters the traditional, sparkly "popstar idol" trope. At first glance, she looks like a glamorous stage performer, but she actually has a full-on transformation mechanic. Once she transforms, her lower body equips massive, heavy mecha leg guards, giving off insane "Mecha-Musume" vibes. Plus, her aesthetic doesn't really scream "Wuling"; she looks straight-up like a Sarkaz idol, meaning she’ll probably debut in a region way beyond Wuling.

Kit & Playstyle Guess

Mixing the "Mecha" and "Idol" archetypes gives her kit immense flexibility. The community is split into two theories:

  • Arts DPS: Using her armor modules as casting units to rain down ranged Arts damage.

  • Team Buffer: Leaning into her idol background to provide team-wide ATK buffs, rhythm-based field effects, or hybrid sub-DPS utility.

Arknights: Endfield 1.4 Pull or Pass?

Alongside our two new Operators, Version 1.4 is rumored to drop massive QoL updates, brand-new exploration zones, an AIC system expansion, and even the return of a fan-favorite classic game mode.

Since we only have leaks and zero official numbers right now, doing a deep-dive pull guide is pointless. Instead, here is your quick, no-nonsense roadmap to prepare your account during 1.3:

  • The Golden Gacha Rule: Endfield runs on an 80-pull soft pity and a 120-pull guaranteed hard pity. If you have your eyes on either Li Zhiyan or the Mecha Idol, you should start hoarding right now. Aim for at least 80 pulls to test your luck, or 120 pulls to 100% lock them down.

  • Pre-Farming Tip: Don't get caught in the "resin-gate" when the patch drops. Since Li Zhiyan leans melee (Sword) and the Idol leans ranged (Arts), split your daily stamina farming generic upgrade materials for both archetypes early.

  • The Meta Verdict: If you are a Waifu/Husbandu collector, grab whoever makes your heart skip a beat. But if you are a meta-chaser or F2P/Monthly Card player, do not go all-in blindly. Skip the pre-patch hype, wait for the official skill showcases and beta theorycrafting, secure your pity, and get out.

Conclusion

All signs point to Version 1.4 being an absolute massive patch for Arknights: Endfield. Li Zhiyan brings deep military-tech lore to the main storyline, while the Mystery Mecha Idol delivers the perfect blend of "pop-culture meets heavy sci-fi artillery."

For now, the smartest move is to sit back, enjoy the remaining phase banners, maps, and endgame content of Version 1.3, and steadily stack your currency. Keep an eye out for upcoming live streams and official gameplay reveals to lock in your final pull plan!
