No matter what team composition you choose to run, good resource management is the key to winning in Currency Wars. To safely get through the early-game challenges, you’ll need a team with strong base damage to serve as a bridge until you unlock your main lineup. For this purpose, I recommend a synergy setup featuring 2 DoT, 2 Belobog, 2 Genius Society, and 2 Debuff.
This transition team consists of Sampo, Herta, Cypher, Asta, and Pela.

After clearing the easy reward stages, replace Herta with Gallagher to activate the 2-Healer synergy, ensuring your team’s HP stays safe.
At the start, only keep cards belonging to your transition team and avoid buying unnecessary cards. This allows you to consistently gain interest from saved Coins, which is your top priority early on.
If you don’t have the equipment you want to merge yet, you can distribute individual equipment pieces to your characters to slightly boost your overall damage output.
Mydei Team
In the Currency War mode, every time Mydei casts Godslayer Be God, he permanently gains Max HP. The core idea of this playstyle is simple: let Mydei solo the frontline, allowing him to take every incoming hit to rapidly stack triggers. This lets him cast as many Godslayer Be God cycles as possible, continuously increasing his Max HP and achieving limitless scaling.

This strategy comes with several major advantages:
Low team-building requirements: No need for high-cost cards or high character levels.
Minimal gear investment: The setup is fully complete once you craft Manyu’s key items—Firestorm Surge and Fist of Fury.
However, there are some drawbacks as well:
E1 Mydei has weak early damage, especially in high-difficulty stages where he struggles to maintain tempo.
If you don’t get good starting conditions or your Mydei is low quality, the setup becomes significantly less effective.
Equipment Recommendations for Mydei:

If you have a strong Mydei and a good opening hand, this “infinite Max HP Mydei” build will easily carry most challenges. But if the start is poor, it’s better to switch to another lineup instead of forcing it.
High-Speed Sampo Team
This lineup takes advantage of Sampo’s ability to act frequently even while staying in the backline. His rapid turn cycling enables him to stack Wind Shear on enemies at high speed, while the Belobog Resonance further boosts his action frequency and Debuff output. The entire setup snowballs quickly—constantly taking actions, applying debuffs, and dealing steady DoT damage.

This team also has a very fast early-game setup. You can directly transition from the early-game starter comp mentioned in the introduction. During the run, all you need is a 3-star Sampo, plus the key items Anti-Grav Boots and Molecular Solvent, which are enough to carry you all the way through.
However, this build has a noticeable drawback in A8 high difficulty—it heavily relies on the expensive cards of Black Swan and Welt to reach full power. This means your early-game economy must be managed very carefully; if you fail to maintain interest or overspend too early, you will not have enough gold to upgrade late-game units, causing the team to fail to fully form.
Equipment Recommendations for Sampo:

In addition, because Sampo’s cards are low-cost, his personal damage ceiling is limited, resulting in long clear times.
Follow-Up Qingque Team
This lineup is simple to assemble, not reliant on specific character power levels, and has a very high ceiling. The only mandatory components are Qingque’s Follow-Up Promotion and her core weapon Momentum Edge.

Thanks to the action advance effects granted by the Follow-Up Promotion, Qingque can essentially enter an “infinite action loop,” continuously triggering follow-up attacks. Once Qingque reaches 3 stars, immediately level up your entire team and aim for the 7-Pioneer Resonance, then place Robin on the frontline and give her Perpetual Engine. With this, the team is fully online.
The main weakness of this setup is the fragile early game. Before you manage to craft 2-star Qingque and the related cards, the team lacks power and is prone to losing streaks, resulting in low tolerance for mistakes.
Equipment Recommendations for Qingque:

Counter-Armor Aventurine Team
This build revolves around using Chassis of Retribution, which reflects damage based on Aventurine’s shield value. By combining the 4-Shield Resonance with multiple shield-providing characters, Aventurine can accumulate massive shield stacks. When he uses his Ultimate to force enemies to hit him, the reflected damage becomes enormous.

Even a trial-grade Aventurine can clear runs comfortably.
Aventurine's slow Ultimate activation—normally a flaw due to wasted action time—can be fixed later by giving Ruan Mei the Perpetual Engine, solving the turn-wasting issue entirely.
However, this team has several weaknesses:
It struggles against compositions that counter reflect-damage playstyles.
And crafting three copies of Chassis of Retribution can be challenging and luck-dependent.
Equipment Recommendations for Phainon:

Aglaea Team
This is the most accessible yet highest-scaling build, making it the perfect choice for F2P players climbing the ranks. The only key item required is Anti-Grav Boots. Even a trial-strength Aglaea can deal impressive damage with this setup.

During the early game, hold your team level at Level 5 and focus your resources on promoting Aglaea to 3 stars. After that, you can freely increase your team level while picking up Energy Resonance cards.
In the late game, the massive SP and energy regeneration from the 7-Energy Resonance allows Aglaea to spam Ultimates continuously, boosting her Speed every cycle. Combined with her talent, which converts Speed into Attack, and the Divine Halfday set’s propeller equipment, the team undergoes a dramatic power spike.
Although she may struggle with survivability in high-difficulty challenges, crafting defensive equipment can easily fix this. As long as you secure the key items early and promote Aglaea to 3 stars, the rest of the run becomes smooth and straightforward.
Equipment Recommendations for Aglaea:
