What Is Arena Breakout? The Three-Product Breakdown

Most players don't realize that "Arena Breakout" is not one game. It's three separate products under one brand umbrella, each with independent servers, economies, and progression systems.

Arena Breakout Mobile (Global)

The original mobile extraction shooter, launched globally in July 2023 by Level Infinite. Available on Android and iOS, this version uses a unified global server architecture where iOS and Android players share the same matchmaking pool. You can add friends cross-device, squad up, and use voice chat regardless of your phone's operating system.

  • Platforms: Android, iOS
  • Publisher: Level Infinite
  • Account system: Level Infinite Pass (Facebook, Google, guest login)
  • Crossplay: Full between Android and iOS
  • Server regions: NA, EU, APAC, SA, OCE — auto-assigned based on location

Arena Breakout Mobile (China / 暗区突围)

The Chinese domestic version, launched in July 2026 — a full year before the global release. Published by Tencent, it runs on completely separate servers with exclusive content and a different account system.

  • Platforms: Android, iOS
  • Publisher: Tencent
  • Account system: QQ or WeChat — no Level Infinite Pass
  • Crossplay: Full between Android and iOS within China servers
  • Exclusive content: Region-specific maps, cultural crossover events, unique weapon skins
  • Anti-cheat: Tencent's proprietary advanced anti-cheat system

Arena Breakout: Infinite (PC)

The PC-specific version, developed by MoreFun Studios. Launched in Early Access on August 13, 2024, via the official website (not Steam during EA). It's the most visually and mechanically advanced version, designed to leverage PC hardware for higher fidelity and smoother performance.

  • Platform: Windows PC only
  • Publisher: Level Infinite (global), Tencent (China)
  • Account system: Level Infinite Pass (global), QQ/WeChat (China)
  • Crossplay: None — not with mobile, not with console (console doesn't exist yet)
  • Server regions: NA, EU, APAC, SA, OCE — auto-assigned, no manual selection
  • Languages: English, Russian, German, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese

Server Regions: The Complete 2026 Map

Arena Breakout: Infinite operates five dedicated server regions worldwide. Each region runs a completely independent ecosystem — your inventory, Koens balance, merchant reputation, and Flea Market listings exist only on the server where you created your character.

How Server Assignment Works

Arena Breakout: Infinite does not allow manual server selection. When you first register, the system auto-assigns you to a regional cluster based on your network location. This is a common source of confusion:

  • Lobby ping is misleading. The number displayed in the lobby connects to a backend server (often in Singapore), not the actual combat server. Your real in-raid ping is typically lower.
  • Mixed-region squads get worse routing. If your party includes players from different regions, the system may assign a server that's suboptimal for everyone.
  • If you registered in the wrong region, you must contact customer service in-game (Settings → Contact Customer Service) or submit a form on the official website to request a correction.

When to Consider Switching Regions

Switching is worth considering only if the latency difference is 50ms or more. Sometimes playing on a slightly farther server during its peak hours delivers a better experience than your closest server during off-peak — faster matchmaking can offset a small ping increase.

China Server vs Global Server: The Full Comparison

This is where most international players get confused. The China version and the global version of Arena Breakout are completely separate products with no data transfer, no shared matchmaking, and fundamentally different architectures.

The Critical PC-Mobile Crossplay Difference

In the China version, PC and mobile players can squad up and enter the same raids together. This is powered by Tencent's unified backend infrastructure, which bridges the two platforms seamlessly.

In the global version, PC (Arena Breakout: Infinite) and mobile (Arena Breakout) are completely isolated. Even if you bind the same Level Infinite Pass account to both platforms, you can only see friends online and chat — you cannot join the same raid, and your inventory, Koens, and progress do not sync.

Regional Economy Differences: Why Your Server Choice Matters

Each server region operates an independent economy. Prices on the Flea Market, item availability, and market liquidity vary significantly based on player population and behavior patterns.

High-Population Servers (NA, EU)

  • Flea Market liquidity: Excellent — items move fast, rare gear appears consistently.
  • Koens stability: Strong — currency value is relatively stable.
  • High-value loot competition: Intense — hot zones are heavily contested.
  • Top-tier gear pricing: Premium — demand drives prices above other regions.
  • Consumable pricing: Cheaper — mass production and seller competition keep basic ammo and medical supplies affordable.

Medium-Population Servers (APAC, SA)

  • Flea Market liquidity: Healthy — active but less predictable.
  • Koens stability: Moderate — prices fluctuate with time-of-day and meta trends.
  • Secondary extract opportunities: Better — less competition at alternate extraction points.
  • Medical supply pricing: Variable — costs rise during peak hours as demand spikes.
  • Weapon pricing: Can dip during weekday afternoons when fewer players are online.

Low-Population Servers (OCE)

  • Flea Market liquidity: Thin — fewer listings, slower sales.
  • Koens stability: Volatile — a single large transaction can shift prices across multiple item categories.
  • Community trading: Important — player reputation and Discord-based deals supplement the Flea Market.
  • Matchmaking: Longer queues, especially during off-peak hours (45–90 seconds at peak).
  • Best for: Solo and duo players who value community familiarity over fast matchmaking.

Account Systems Explained: Which One Do You Need?

Level Infinite Pass (Global)

Used for both Arena Breakout Mobile (global) and Arena Breakout: Infinite (global PC). You can link Facebook, Google, or use guest login.

What syncing actually does:

  • Cross-platform friend discovery and chat
  • ✅ Online status visibility between mobile and PC
  • ❌ Inventory sync between mobile and PC
  • ❌ Progress or Koens transfer
  • ❌ Cross-platform squad invitations

Important: Binding a social account helps with login recovery and friend discovery only. It does not merge inventories or progression between the mobile and PC versions.

QQ / WeChat (China Server)

Required for the Chinese domestic version. If you're outside China and want to access the China server:

  1. Download QQ International or WeChat.
  2. Register with your phone number (international numbers accepted).
  3. Verify via SMS.
  4. Use the QQ/WeChat credentials to log into the China client.

If you encounter a "Region Not Available" error, you may need a VPN or the OurPlay app, which functions as both a network accelerator and compatibility layer for Chinese games on international devices.

Ping Optimization: Getting the Best Connection

Since server selection is automatic, optimizing your connection is about reducing latency within your assigned region.

Practical Steps to Lower Your Ping

  1. Disable AutoMatch. Turning off automatic matchmaking reduces the chance of being placed on a distant server. Solo queue or join region-specific squads instead.
  2. Squad with same-region players. Mixed-region parties trigger suboptimal server routing for the entire group.
  3. Use a wired connection. Ethernet provides more consistent latency than Wi-Fi, eliminating packet loss from wireless interference.
  4. Close background applications. Streaming, downloads, and cloud sync compete for bandwidth and increase latency spikes.
  5. Don't trust lobby ping. The displayed value connects to the backend server, not your combat server. Actual in-raid ping is typically lower — judge your connection quality during gameplay, not in the lobby.
  6. Consider a game VPN/accelerator. Tools like LagoFast, GearUP Booster, or ExitLag can optimize routing to the game's servers, particularly useful for players in regions far from data centers (e.g., Southeast Asia connecting to NA, or Middle East connecting to EU).

Season Wipe Mechanics and Regional Impact

Arena Breakout performs periodic wipes that reset most player progress. Understanding how wipes interact with the regional server system is essential.

What gets wiped (per server):

  • Full stash and inventory
  • All Koens (in-game currency)
  • Merchant reputation levels
  • Quest progress

What survives a wipe:

  • Bonds (premium currency) — 100% retained
  • Character level
  • Skill proficiencies
  • Unlocked maps
  • Hideout upgrades
  • Secure container size

Critical point: Each platform and region has its own wipe schedule. Mobile and PC wipes may happen at different times. If you play on both platforms, don't assume a wipe on one means the other has also been reset.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I transfer my progress from the global mobile version to the PC version?

No. The mobile and PC versions are separate products with independent servers and economies. Progress, inventory, and Koens do not transfer between them, even on the same Level Infinite Pass account.

2. Can I manually choose my server region?

No. Arena Breakout: Infinite automatically assigns you to a regional cluster based on your network location. If you were assigned to the wrong region, contact in-game customer service (Settings → Contact Customer Service) to request a correction.

3. Is the China server better than the global server?

It depends on your priorities. The China server offers PC ↔ mobile crossplay, Tencent's advanced anti-cheat, and exclusive content, but requires a QQ/WeChat account and may have higher latency for players outside mainland China. The global server is more accessible internationally and has a larger combined player base across all regions.

4. Do different server regions have different economies?

Yes. Each region operates an independent economy. High-population servers (NA, EU) have more stable markets and better Flea Market liquidity. Low-population servers (OCE) experience more volatile pricing. The same item can cost significantly more or less depending on which server you're on.

5. Why is my lobby ping so high?

The lobby ping displays your connection to the backend server, not the combat server. Your actual in-raid ping is typically lower. Don't make decisions about server quality based on the lobby number alone.

6. Can I play with friends on a different platform?

On the global version, only Android and iOS mobile players can play together; PC and mobile are completely separate. On the China version, PC and mobile players can squad up and enter the same raids.

7. Will Arena Breakout: Infinite get console support?

As of 2026, there is no confirmed console release date. Developer statements indicate it's under consideration but not currently in development. Even if a console version launches, crossplay with PC is not guaranteed.
