| Should I Pull for Ye Shunguang? —— ZZZ 2.5 Ye Shunguang Pull Guide
When it comes to Ye Shunguang, my take is simple: no matter how large or small your current roster is, you should pull for her—unless you genuinely dislike the character.
For veteran players
Ye Shunguang is undeniably one of the standout powerhouses of the new version. With the Shiyu Defense rework, players are now encouraged to build three full teams to enjoy a smoother overall experience. If you’ve already pulled characters like Miyabi or Yi Xuan, then Ye Shunguang is an excellent choice to round out your third team.
For new players
Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 opens with Ye Shunguang's banner, and the game also provides a free Zhao. This allows you to assemble a relatively complete Ye Shunguang team at a very low cost. At the very least, during the early stages of the game, players who have Ye Shunguang will enjoy a noticeably smoother and more relaxed progression experience.

In most situations, Ye Shunguang + Zhao + Dialyn is the strongest team composition.
Ye Shunguang is quite flexible in the current version, allowing for multiple team options. You may choose to pull for M2S1, replace Dialyn with Astra Yao, and run Ye Shunguang + Zhao + Astra Yao.
Alternatively, you can replace Zhao with another support unit, such as Ye Shunguang + Nicole + Astra Yao.
There is also another approach: if you have M1 Rina along with Ye Shunguang's signature W-Engine, you can raise your PEN Ratio to about 85%, which approaches true-damage levels.

When the equipper activates an Ether Veil, the equipper's DMG increases by 25% / 28.7% / 32.5% / 36.2% / 40% and CRIT DMG increases by 25% / 28.7% / 32.5% / 36.2% / 40% for 40s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.

Upon hitting an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dash Attack, or Dodge Counter, the equipper's ATK increases by 3.5/4.4/5.2/6/7% for 8s, stacking up to 8 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Overall, Ye Shunguang's signature W-Engine doesn't really have a suitable lower-tier alternative. The Crit Rate provided by Steel Cushion offers only a small increase for him and is also difficult to trigger effectively.
As a main push unit with high damage potential, I highly recommend pulling for Ye Shunguang's signature W-Engine.
| ZZZ 2.5 - Ye Shunguang Mindscape Cinema
1. Dreambound Self
Upon entering the battlefield, gain 6 Qingming Sword Force. This effect can trigger once every 180s in Investigation Zone mode.
The Unity effect from Core Passive: Burning Clarity increases DMG dealt by an additional 10%, and they ignore 20% of the target's DEF.
2. Light & Shadow
The max stack count of Bearer increases to 6, and Culmination can stack up to 9 times. While in the Enlightened Mind state, each point of Qingming Sword Force consumed grants 1 stack of Culmination. EX Special Attack: Enlightened Mind - Soaring Light's DMG ignores 40% of the target's DEF.
3.Swordswoman
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
4. Together into the Dust
Upon entering the battlefield, gain 1,000 Decibels. In Investigation Zone mode, this effect can trigger once every 180s. The Vulnerability bonus provided by Ether Veil: Verdict is increased to a maximum of 200%.
5. Guiding Glimmer
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
6. Lantern Wish
Upon entering the battlefield, gain 2 stacks of Lantern Wish. Whenever Enlightened Mind is entered, gain 1 stack of Lantern Wish, stacking up to 4 times. With 3 stacks of Lantern Wish, EX Special Attack: Enlightened Mind - Return to Dust is replaced with Ultimate: Cleaving Heavens. When this Ultimate: Cleaving Heavens is activated, it consumes 3 stacks of Lantern Wish. The last hit of Enlightened Mind - Return to Dust and Ultimate: Cleaving Heavens deal 1,500% additional Physical DMG.
From my perspective, if you already own The Brimstone, then pulling for Mindscape Cinema is likely the best choice for you. While M0 Ye Shunguang doesn’t deliver explosively high damage, her kit is mechanically complete and offers excellent playability, making her very satisfying to use.
If you don't have The Brimstone, or if your Brimstone needs to be allocated to another agent, then investing in additional Mindscape Cinema levels becomes the better option.
My pull recommendation is to prioritize M2, as it significantly improves overall feel and delivers a substantial boost in damage output.
Overall, the most reasonable pull progression is:
M0 → M0S1 → M2S1 → M6S1.
