Honkai: Star Rail Morning Starlight Combat Challenge is an event where you must clear enemy waves to get rewards. The setting of the challenge is a space station, possibly an experiment gone wrong. It is a heavyweight-category simulation experiment data that you must test for them. They have asked for your help by fighting.
Herta is playable. All the characters that you meet in the main storyline are playable. You can acquire them through banner runs. About The Challenge & Prerequisites
This Challenge is available from April 28, 2025 at 12:00 server time and will be available till May 19, 2025 at 03:59:00 server time. The challenge happens daily for seven days, with each day bringing a new stage of the event.
Each stage will have two difficulty levels, the Dwarf Star and the Supergiant Star. There are some mechanics which will buff the characters. In certain stages, healing reduces your HP. You will have to clear the easier difficulty, Dwarf Star, first. On completion, the Supergiant Star level will be available to you. Trial characters are also available in the stage battles.
In the challenge, when an ally defeats enemies, they will only regenerate 50% of the energy compared to regular combat. Moreover, if you increase the equilibrium level, the enemy level will also increase.
How to participate in the Combat Challenger?
- Be at least at Trailblazer level 21 or higher.
- If you are at the required level, go to the Master Control Room in Herta's Space Station and talk to Grumpy, following which you can start the challenge.
What To Do in the Starlight Combat Challenge?
1. Take part in the Combat Stages
To participate in this event, you must log in daily and take part in the stages that come your way. Each day, a new stage will come. So, play the game daily and complete the challenge of the day.
2. Defeat the Foes that Come Your Way
Each stage will have a combat challenge. In the Morning Starlight challenge, you must defeat the most enemies, limited by number of cycles or rounds. Clear the waves of enemies and accomplish the objectives.
3. Use The Stage Buffs
Each stage comes with its speciality in the form of buffs. So, look at the buffs for that particular stage and utilize them to deal more damage against the foes. The trial characters will be more compatible with the stage buffs, so use them. The trial characters are only playable for a particular stage. If you want to play with them otherwise, you can get them through banners. So, play around with the characters and see what you like. If you like a character, pull them in their banners using Stellar Jade or buy Honkai Star Rail Oneiric Shards. The Shards can be converted to Stellar Jade in a 1:1 ratio.
4. Unlock & Clear the Supergiant Star Difficulty
The Dwarf Star difficulty level will be easy for most of the players. After clearing it, you unlock the Supergiant Star difficulty, which is more complex than the prior one.
The Stages in Honkai: Star Rail Morning Starlight Combat Challenge
There are a total of seven stages are released, one daily. The stages are:
- Hunting Hour
- Circle of Life and Death
- Infinite Battleground
- Echoes of Storm
- Venomous Feast
- Moment Awakening
- Chain Breaker
Understand The Buffs in Each Stage
In each of the stages, there will be buffs. But, with Great Power comes Great Responsibility in the form of debuffs. So, once the stage is released, understand what the buff is for that particular stage.
In the Hunting Hour stage, the position 1 character got the buff of entering the Aimed state, allowing you to deal extra damage to the 'Aimed' enemy. This feature can be used to focus only on the attacking of the elite enemy. While in the Circle of Life and Death, when players receive fatal damage, they are not knocked out, but their action advances by 100%, and HP is restored to the max. But, if you try to heal, the amount of HP restored will be the amount of HP reduced.
Know The Enemy
If you know the enemy, you get the upper hand in any battle. So, for each of the stages, there are different enemies. Acquire information on the enemy and their elemental weakness. The majority of all the enemies are weak against Imaginary.
Deal Elemental Damage
Each enemy that you face will have an elemental weakness. So, when you play against them, use elements that the opponent is weak against. Attacking their weakness with suitable elemental damage will decrease the Toughness faster. The Weakness Break is triggered when the Toughness reaches zero. A Weakness Break is a situation where you can deal more damage and delay the action of the enemy. The element-specific effect will also be in play. It can be speed reduction or more damage dealt.
Using Appropriate Relics & Ornaments
Continuing from the previous point, using the appropriate relics and ornaments increases the Break Stat effect dealt against the opponent. Preferably have any one of these relic sets:
Thief of Shooting Meteor
- 2 pieces increase the Break Effect by 16%.
- 4 pieces increase the Break Effect by 16%, and when a Weakness Break happens, 3 energy is restored.
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
- 2 pieces increase the Break effect by 16%. When the SPD reaches 145 or higher, the Break Effect increases by 20%.
