| Aubade of Morningstar and Moon
Introduction
This set serves as the "Golden Troupe" of the Snezhnaya era. It is tailor-made for off-field sub-DPS characters who rely on the new Lunar reactions, such as Lunar-Crystallize or Lunar-Radiance.
2P: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4P: When the equipping character is off-field, Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 20%. When the party's Moonsign Level is at least Ascendant Gleam, Lunar Reaction DMG will be further increased by 40%. This effect will disappear after the equipping character is active for 3s.
Best Character
Currently, only two characters fulfill the requirements for both "Off-field DPS" and "Lunar Reactions": Columbina and Ineffa.
For Ineffa, switching from her current Moon-Sovereign or Gilded Dreams set to "Aubade of Morningstar and Moon" can provide a 20%+ damage increase. Additionally, the "Nocturne of Moon-Sovereign" set you replace can be handed down to other support characters.
As for Columbina, her choice depends on her role: the "Night of Vaulted Manifestation" set is best for an On-field playstyle, while "Aubade of Morningstar and Moon" is ideal for an Off-field playstyle. Both are viable team compositions for C0 Columbina.
Note: If you plan to play Columbina as an Off-field DPS, this new artifact set is a perfect fit. However, it is not very suitable for an On-field role. While we wait for a more dedicated On-field set in future updates, you can make do with current options for now.
Is it suitable for Lauma? It depends on your configuration.
At lower constellations (non-C5), she only triggers Lunar bloom DMG after using her Held Elemental Skill on-field, so it isn't highly recommended. However, if she is already C6, you can choose based on your preference: "Aubade of Morningstar and Moon" for an Off-field Sub-DPS role, or "Night of Vaulted Manifestation" for an On-field Main DPS role.
From C0 to C5, Lauma only triggers Lunar Bloom reaction DMG during the initial hit of her Held Elemental Skill, and the damage scaling is mediocre. At C6, her Elemental Skill’s damage-over-time can also trigger Lunar Bloom reactions; however, at this level, players generally prefer an On-field Main DPS playstyle.
| A Day Carved from Rising Winds
Introduction
This set is designed for ATK-scaling characters, particularly those belonging to the Hexenzirkel faction. It rewards an active playstyle while introducing a unique "faction" mechanic.
2P: ATK +18%.
4P: After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, gain the Blessing of Pastoral Winds effect for 6s: ATK is increased by 25%. If the equipping character has completed Witch's Homework, Blessing of Pastoral Winds will be upgraded to Resolve of Pastoral Winds, which also increases the CRIT Rate of the equipping character by an additional 20%. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.
Best Character
For non-Hexenzirkel characters, the "A Day Carved from Rising Winds" set is not significantly better than a 2pc+2pc combination, making it relatively low value. It is only recommended for Hexenzirkel-related characters, as both On-field Main DPS and Off-field Sub-DPS units can maintain full uptime on the buffs. In their case, the set can be effectively viewed as providing 43% ATK and 20% CRIT Rate.
Among the current Hexenzirkel-related characters, the following can utilize this set: Mona, Durin, Collei, Albedo, Venti, Fischl, and Razor. Below is the ranking based on the damage increase percentage (the sets in parentheses refer to their previous best-in-slot options):
- 15%+ Increase: Durin (Crimson Witch / Noblesse), Klee (Crimson Witch), Venti (Viridescent Venerer / Marechaussee Hunter), Razor (Gladiator / Marechaussee Hunter / Emblem of Severed Fate).
These four characters share a common trait: their current artifact options are not a great fit, with some even still relying on launch-era sets. Because of this lack of specialized equipment, switching to the new set results in a significantly higher performance boost.
- 5%–10% Increase: Fischl (Gilded Dreams / Golden Troupe), Albedo (Husk of Opulent Dreams / Golden Troupe), Mona (Flower of Paradise Lost / Noblesse).
Both Albedo and Fischl received new dedicated sets during the Fontaine cycle. Compared to the new artifacts, the performance gap is kept within 10%. As for Mona, she only functions as a primary damage dealer at C6, relying heavily on Charged Attack Vaporize reactions, for which the Wanderer's Troupe set remains a perfect fit in all aspects.
- Not Recommended: Sucrose (Viridescent Venerer).
Sucrose is positioned as a support character and is not suited for a DPS role; therefore, the Viridescent Venerer set remains the recommended choice for her support build.
The characters mentioned above represent only the current eight Hexenzirkel units. Seven of these are categorized as buffs to existing characters, with Durin being the only truly new character. This suggests that many more new characters will join the Magical system in the future, and this set may become the standard general-purpose set for both Magical Main and Sub-DPS units.
Note: Depending on the release schedule of future Magical characters, a dedicated Magical support set may also be introduced simultaneously.
| Conclusion
Since the artifact domain drops two different sets randomly, it is naturally most efficient for players who plan to run both the Lunar and Hexenzirkel systems simultaneously. Currently, the stats for both sets are quite strong. If you intend to invest in upcoming characters from Nod-Krai, you may want to start preparing early. Conversely, if you do not currently have—and do not plan to pull for—any Lunar or Hexenzirkel characters, the value of this new domain to you is zero.
