| Arknights: Endfield Which Operator should beginners pull for?
For many Administrators stepping onto Talos-II for the first time, deciding where to spend their hard-earned Oroberyl is crucial. Your first priority should always be the New Horizons banner. This special Beginner Banner is the most cost-effective way to jumpstart your account. Clear the New Horizons banner first to get your guaranteed 6-star and weapon. And then, you can decide on your next pulls based on your personal preferences and team compositions.
| Laevatain
Laevatain is the first limited Operator Banner available at Arknights Endfield's launch. She's a unique Heat Operator with the ability to forcibly trigger Combustion on all enemies in a large area, making her great for AoE (Area of Effect) and CC (Crowd Control) situations. She's also hands down one of the best Damage Dealers in the game, and with a proper build, she can get her Ultimate back very frequently.
| Gilberta
Gilberta is a universal Support that buffs virtually every way that might be used to do damage. She'll group enemies up with her Battle Skill, allowing for quick mob clear. She'll apply Vulnerable stacks with her Combo Skill, which will help your other Physical Strikers. Her own Ultimate will apply an Arts Susceptibility debuff that scales with how many Vulnerable stacks are present as well. And while she's doing all of that, she's healing her entire team and applying crowd control effects. A well-rounded Support that can slot into almost any team.
| Yvonne
Yvonne is a unique Cryo Striker Operator who specializes in Solidification, making her excel at single-target damage. She's without question one of the best Damage Dealers in the game, and with a proper build, she can output high DPS and Solidification at a good rate. As a Striker, she is unable to apply her own Cryo infliction, though. We will therefore want to pair her with Operators that can apply either Nature or Cryo Infliction and offer amplification to further boost her outgoing damage and maximize her kit abilities' uptime.
| Ardelia
Ardelia is incredibly flexible, as long as you pair her with either Physical damage dealers or a team that can make use of her Corrosion effects. Since she is a free Character, you can also just throw her into any team that needs someone to restore HP to the team.
Ardelia applies not only Corrosion and Arts Susceptibility, but also dramatically boosts Physical damage. This makes her a prime support for any team that wants to maximize their Physical DPS, such as Pogranichnik, Lifeng, Chen Qianyu, Da Pan, or even the Endministrator. All you have to do is consume a Corrosion effect with your Battle Skill to apply Physical Susceptibility.
| Wulfgard
Wulfgard has two ways to be played, and both require other characters to help him out. The first option requires using an off-element Operator to be able to use Combustion, in which case Wulfgard works as a pseudo-Striker. The second option is to use Wulfgard as a Heat generator for other team comps.
| Arknights: Endfield Pulling Tips
At the end of the day, it is less about who you pull and more about how you build your team. All three Operators are good, and even as a free-to-play player, you can get great results by mixing limited characters with free ones. If you are looking for the long-term, supports usually stay relevant longer, sure, but Endfield also gives you plenty of solid F2P supports, so whichever DPS you choose, you will not be stuck.
Keep also in mind that the early characters in gacha games tend to get outrun rather fast, so you can always wait and see who is next. Remember that banners in Endfield work a little differently, and you can still obtain Laevatain on Yvonne’s banner as well. By that time, we will know who comes after.
