Exe features a distinctive combat system based on Frames and Ranks. He accumulates Frames through attacks and generates Digital Spectrums to deal additional damage.

Version 1.5 introduces a new main story chapter titled Meet Me in the Data Stream, centered on a mysterious urban legend known as the Invalid Number.
The legend tells of people who encounter old friends in their dreams. After waking up, they can only remember a mysterious phone number. However, whenever they try to call it, an automated message informs them that the number does not exist.
As more people report similar experiences, the Appraiser joins Elyms and Exe to investigate the mystery. The investigation eventually leads to a new digital world and a submerged city hidden within the data stream.

The Invalid Number System will be introduced as a new Anomalous Realm in Version 1.5.
Players can explore this unusual digital environment while uncovering the truth behind the mysterious phone calls and the people appearing in their dreams.
A new Anomaly Pilgrimage featuring Graceful Corruptor, Nest Mother will also become available. Players can challenge this new boss to obtain Hollowed Seed, a new character development material.
Version 1.5 is also expanding Hethereau's transportation and competitive gameplay with two new vehicles.
Both vehicles will be introduced through the Blind Box event.
