Additionally, the first time Starlit Steed Trample is cast after entering Moonshift Interstice, the second hit's Lunar Crystallization Reaction DMG is increased by 200%.
-C2: Born in Breath, Fated to Bone
While in Moonshift Interstice, Zi Bai's DEF increases by 50%.
In addition, the effect of the Passive Talent Celestial Descent of the Pure Moon is enhanced:
- Starlit Steed Trample gains additional bonus damage equal to 100% of Zi Bai's DEF
(Requires unlocking Celestial Descent of the Pure Moon.)
-C3: Free From Constraints and Worldly Ties
Increases the Level of Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
-C4: Soul Follows Where Spirit Goes
While in Moonshift Interstice:
- Zi Bai's Normal Attack combo count will not reset.
- When Starlit Steed Trample hits an enemy, Zi Bai gains Moon-Shed Radiance:

While in Moonshift Interstice:
- Interstice Radiance accumulation efficiency +4%
- Starlit Steed Trample consumes all Interstice Radiance
- For every point of Radiance consumed exceeding 70, increases that cast's DMG and Zi Bai's Lunar Crystallization Reaction DMG by 1.6% for 3s.
This effect cannot stack.
>Constellation Pull Recommendations
At Constellation 1, she can immediately perform Spirit Steed’s Stride upon entering Lunar Phase Shift; Constellation 2 provides a DEF increase; Constellation 4 grants a minor stat boost; and Constellation 6 greatly accelerates the recovery of Phase Shift Radiance while adding an additional independent multiplier.
Overall, the most important Constellations are C1, which optimizes her rotation and burst potential, C2 for its substantial stat increase, and C6 for significantly raising her damage ceiling.
From a cost-performance perspective, I recommend pulling C2S1 or C1S1, as Zi Bai’s signature weapon as well as her C1 and C2 all offer strong enhancements.
If your primogems are limited, you can stop at C0. Zi Bai’s kit is already quite complete at base Constellation, and she has plenty of viable substitute weapons.
For heavy spenders, I recommend C6S1 or C6S5, as the value of C3–C5 is relatively low. As the main DPS of the new Geo reaction team, Zi Bai’s current teammates—aside from Columbina—are mostly older units. It’s very likely that future releases will introduce teammates designed to boost her capabilities even further, making her long-term potential very promising.
| What Is Lunar Crystallization?
>Elemental Reaction: Lunar Crystallization
When Geo comes into contact with Hydro under certain conditions, it triggers a special Lunar Crystallization reaction. Three Lunar Wards will be generated near the target. For every three Lunar Crystallization reactions triggered, a Lunar Ward Resonance will occur, dealing Geo damage to nearby enemies. This damage can critically strike, and its power scales with all characters who applied elements during the reaction.
| Genshin Zi Bai Best Team Comps
Many team compositions can be built around Zi Bai and Lunar Crystallization. The basic idea is: Zi Bai + Hydro support sub-DPS + Geo/Hydro support + Geo support/survival. Currently, the widely accepted “strongest” Zi Bai team is Zi Bai + Columbina + Illuga + Zhongli.
