Lightbearing Moonshard is Zibai’s signature weapon and her best-in-slot option. It provides a high DEF substat along with bonus damage from Lunar-Crystallize reactions, perfectly synergizing with her DEF scaling and reaction-based playstyle, allowing her to maximize both personal damage and overall team output.

Uraku Misugiri
Uraku Misugiri is an excellent 5-Star choice for Zibai, offering an impressive 88.2% CRIT DMG substat alongside bonus Elemental Skill DMG and DEF from its passive. Since Zibai scales heavily with DEF and relies on her Skill for a large portion of her damage, the weapon synergizes extremely well with her kit, making it one of her strongest premium alternatives.
Flute of Ezpitzal
Flute of Ezpitzal is a solid F2P option for Zibai, granting a massive 69% DEF from its main stat along with an additional 32% DEF through its passive. Since Zibai scales heavily with DEF, the weapon provides very consistent damage and serves as a reliable baseline for comparing other options.
Harbinger of Dawn
Harbinger of Dawn is a surprisingly strong F2P option thanks to the massive CRIT value it provides, allowing it to compete with some higher-rarity weapons. However, its passive requires Zibai to stay above 90% HP to maintain full uptime, which can be difficult in real combat. The large amount of CRIT Rate can also lead to overcapping, lowering its overall efficiency depending on your artifact stats.
| Genshin Zibai's Stat Priority
Zibai mainly scales with DEF and CRIT, making these her highest-priority stats. Elemental Mastery can provide additional value through Lunar-Crystallize reactions, but it is generally secondary to DEF. A Geo DMG Goblet is not recommended, as it does not increase her Lunar-Crystallize damage.
If Zibai is using a DEF-focused weapon and running in Geo-heavy teams — especially alongside buffers like Gorou, who grant extra DEF — an Elemental Mastery Sands can become a viable alternative. In most situations, however, DEF Sands and DEF Goblet remain the most consistent setup for maximizing her overall damage.

The additional CRIT Rate and Lunar Reaction DMG directly amplify both her personal damage and reaction output, solidifying it as her optimal set.

C1: Burst Forth With Vigor, But Enter in Silence
After using the Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, Zibai will immediately gain 100 Phase Shift Radiance, and the max number of Spirit Steed's Stride usages per Lunar Phase Shift mode is increased to 5 times.
Additionally, each time you switch to the Lunar Phase Shift mode, the first Spirit Steed's Stride's 2nd-hit Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG is increased by 220%.
C2: Layered Peaks Pierce the Clouds
When in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, all nearby party members' Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG is increased by 30%.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Ascension Talent The Selenic Adeptus Descends is enhanced: the 2nd hit of Spirit Steed's Stride deals additional DMG equal to 550% of Zibai's DEF. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "The Selenic Adeptus Descends."
C3: Free From Constraints and Worldly Ties
Increases the Level of Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest by 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4: The Spirit Passes, Then Form Follows
While in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, Zibai's Normal Attack sequence will not reset, and when Spirit Steed's Stride hits opponents, Zibai will gain the "Scattermoon Splendor" effect: The next time she uses Normal Attacks, her 4th hit will deal 250% of the original Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.
C5:Perceive the Worthless and Debate It Not
Increases the Level of Tri-Sphere Eminence by 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6:The World, A Journey in Passing
While Zibai is in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, her Phase Shift Radiance gain rate is increased by 50%.
Additionally, Spirit Steed's Stride will change such that it will consume all Phase Shift Radiance. This will elevate the DMG dealt by this instance of Spirit Steed's Stride and the Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by Zibai within the next 3s by 1.6% for every point consumed above 70. This effect cannot stack.

Zibai is primarily played alongside Geo and Hydro teammates. Her passives grant bonus DEF and Elemental Mastery based on the number of Geo and Hydro characters in the party, and she also converts Hydro Crystallize into Lunar-Crystallize, further enhancing her reaction damage.
Since Zibai scales heavily with DEF and Elemental Mastery, she benefits greatly from teammates who provide DEF or EM buffs. These stat boosts directly translate into more serious personal damage, making supportive buffers especially valuable in her teams.
Columbina is the premier Hydro teammate for Zibai teams. She not only boosts Lunar Reaction DMG, but also shares strong Moonsign synergy, as Zibai increases the party’s Moonsign Level by 1, allowing Columbina to fully benefit from these bonuses. Together, they significantly amplify overall reaction damage.

Alternatives Without Columbina
Zibai is a Lunar DPS, and Columbina is generally considered her best-in-slot support thanks to the strong buffs and Moonsign synergy she provides. However, players who don’t own Columbina can still build effective teams using alternative supports, with only a moderate drop in overall damage.

| How to Play Zibai
Zibai is a primary on-field DPS who should remain on the field as much as possible during her rotation to maximize damage. Her gameplay revolves around managing her Elemental Skill, Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, and generating a special resource called Phase Shift Radiance.
After using her Elemental Skill, Zibai’s Normal Attacks become infused with Geo and start generating Phase Shift Radiance. She can store up to 100 points, which are consumed to enhance her Elemental Skill. Using the enhanced skill requires 70 Phase Shift Radiance points and delivers a powerful Lunar-Crystallize strike. Casting her initial Elemental Skill grants 10 Phase Shift Radiance immediately.
Zibai’s rotation is simple: activate her Elemental Skill, then continuously perform Normal Attacks to generate Phase Shift Radiance. Once the enhanced skill is ready, use it and repeat the process until the skill duration ends. In an ideal rotation, Zibai can cast the enhanced skill up to four times. Switching out too early can lead to missed enhanced casts and significant damage loss.
Her Elemental Burst can be used either at the start or end of her rotation. In Spiral Abyss, it’s generally better to use her Burst at the beginning to allow more time to regenerate Energy for subsequent rotations.
Zibai generates Phase Shift Radiance through several sources. Her Normal and Charged Attacks generate 5 points per hit, while triggering a Lunar-Crystallize reaction instantly grants 35 points. With just two Lunar-Crystallize reactions, Zibai can fully charge her enhanced skill, making reaction uptime critical to optimizing her damage output.
