Baden is a new hero featured in AFK Journey Version 1.8.2.
Baden was trained in combat, tactics, strategy, logistics, and horsemanship from a young age. During his military service, he met Thane, a swordsman whose skill matched his own. Their rivalry quickly developed into a lasting friendship.
After Baden disappeared, Thane continued protecting House Rayne while holding on to the hope that his friend would return. Their connection gives Baden more narrative significance than simply being another addition to the Graveborn roster.

Baden is a continuous-pressure damage dealer who grows stronger as more phantoms appear on the field. His kit rewards prolonged fights and focuses on weakening enemies while amplifying his own output.
Baden’s kit centers on cursing enemies, summoning invincible phantoms, coordinated multi-strike attacks, and progressive stat draining.

Passive. When a battle starts, Baden curses enemies in a straight line in front of him, dealing true damage. The curse summons a phantom near an afflicted non-boss enemy the first time their HP drops below a set threshold. For afflicted boss enemies, a phantom is summoned each time they lose HP equal to a percentage of Baden's initial ATK. Each boss can only generate a limited number of phantoms this way.
Phantoms inherit a percentage of Baden's basic stats and are Invincible. They use normal attacks and prioritize targeting the enemy that generated them.

Active. Baden pierces through his current target, stunning them for a duration and stealing a percentage of their max HP along with some Energy, then deals damage. The HP stolen cannot exceed a percentage of his ATK.

Baden and all his phantoms attack a designated enemy in unison, delivering 4 successive strikes and keeping the target stunned throughout. The first 3 strikes each deal damage. The final strike deals greater damage to the target and its adjacent enemies. It also drains HP from the target, inflicts an equal amount of max HP reduction, and prevents them from recovering HP and Energy for a duration.
Baden is invincible while casting this skill. In Auto Battle, this skill prioritizes the weakest enemy.

Baden and his phantoms unleash 5 slashes in unison. The first 4 slashes deal damage to the current target. The final slash sends out a sword shock, dealing damage to nearby enemies and reducing their Vitality for a duration. This effect stacks up to a limit.

When a battle starts, the Wraithbrand curse deals increased damage and inflicts max HP reduction equal to a percentage of the actual damage dealt. Each phantom summoned by the curse steals a percentage of its target's ATK, granting that amount to both Baden and itself. The ATK gained from each steal cannot exceed a percentage of Baden's initial ATK.
After upgrading his Exclusive Skill, Baden immediately summons a phantom to fight alongside him when a battle starts. This phantom prioritizes his current target.
Phantoms are the core of his strength. They are invincible, inherit stats, and attack in perfect coordination with Baden, creating relentless pressure through stuns, vitality reduction, and progressive weakening.
